Who’s it for?

This qualification is intended for anyone new to training who needs to understand the basics of training practice and trainers working in the private sector delivering in-house training and/or work-based learning who want to achieve an accredited qualification and/or to register to deliver CIEH qualifications

What’s it about?

The Level 3 Award in Training Principles and Practice covers:

• Your role, responsibilities and boundaries
• Your role in relation to training
• Appropriate training and learning approaches within a specialist area
• Session planning skills
• How to deliver inclusive sessions that motivate learners
• The use of different assessment methods
• The need for accurate record keeping.

How is it assessed?

You must submit a 1000 word assignment as well as delivering a micro-teach session and observing four others.

What will I get out of it?

The aim of the three day Level 3 Award in Training Principles and Practice is to equip you with the basic knowledge and skills required to develop and deliver training programmes, provide learning support and take responsibility in managing the learning process. On achieving this qualification, you may progress onto a Level 3 Award in Education and Training – EAT (formerly PTLLS).

How much does it cost?

Open courses cost £400. If you have 5 or more people to train (and a suitable room) you could save money with an in-house course
