Who’s it for?
This one day qualification is intended for candidates working in or preparing to work in any industry that involves the retail sale of alcohol. It is a pre requisite for anyone who wishes to hold a personal licence. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification other than to be 18 years of age but it is advised that candidates have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

How is it assessed?
There is a one hour 40 question multiple-choice test at the end of the course and you need 28 out of 40 to pass. Following the course you will be sent a Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders certificate.

What will I get out of it?
The aim of the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders is to make you are aware of the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 and the specific duties of a personal licence holder in relation to the law. It is a legal requirement for anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol.
