Who’s it for?
This HACCP training qualification is especially useful if you’re involved in maintaining HACCP systems or are part of a HACCP team. It can also act as excellent refresher training if your foundation (level 2) food hygiene certificate is more than three years old – and saves you re-doing the course! There are no pre-requisites for the HACCP qualification. However it is a good idea for you to already have the Foundation (Level 2) food hygiene training certificate. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

We also offer Level 3 and Level 4 HACCP training for managers and those that need to develop HACCP plans. We can also develop HACCP plans with and for you.

What’s it about?
This HACCP training course covers: · The principles of HACCP · Food safety management · Implementation of HACCP · Hazards and controls · Critical control points, critical limits and target levels · Monitoring · Corrective actions · Verification · HACCP documentation

How is it assessed?
There is a 30 minute 15 question multiple-choice test at the end of the day and you need 9 out of 15 correct to pass. Following the course you will be sent a Level 2 Award in HACCP

What will I get out of it?
The aim of the one day Level 2 Award in HACCP is to provide you with the knowledge you need to understand the principles of HACCP, in particular how to identify and control hazards, to monitor controls and what action to take when critical limits are breached. You will also appreciate how your role can affect food safety and contribute to the HACCP system.

How much does it cost?
Public courses cost between £125-£150 depending on the venue.

If you have 4 or more people to train (and a suitable room) you could save money with an in-house course.
