Food allergens training courses

The law requires that certain food allergens be specifically highlighted in the ingredients list on a food label. Food allergens also need to be declared for loose foods so caterers and retailers need to have accurate allergen information available for each food product and menu item.

The consequences of getting this wrong can be serious and potentially fatal for customers with food allergies. As well as food allergen e-learning courses, we run these one day courses:

Food labelling training courses

The Food Information to Consumers (FIC) Regulation has modified and consolidated existing food label provisions in the EU. The main additions related to allergen declarations and nutritional data provisions 

Food label requirements are complex and vary from product to product. In the main, they only apply to prepackaged foods and not to foods sold loose. There are also exemptions to certain rules if the foods are packed on the same site that they are sold from.
