Who’s it for?
This Level 3 food hygiene certificate qualification is aimed at supervisors, team leaders, line managers working in the food industry (and other related industries e.g. those providing food in the care industry). The qualification is also suitable for those owning/managing smaller businesses.

What options are available?
We offer the Level 3 food hygiene certificate – accredited face-to-face, virtual (trainer video with online support), remote (streamed training) and the Level 3 food hygiene certficate is also available as online training.

There are no pre-requisites for the intermediate food hygiene qualification. However it is a good idea for you to already have the Foundation (Level 2) food hygiene training certificate. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

How is it assessed?
Learners must complete 45 questions within 90 minutes. Successful learners will have to demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus and achieve a pass mark of 66% (30/45). Learners will receive a Distinction if they achieve a pass mark of 80% (36/45). Following the course you will be sent a Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering certificate.

What will I get out of it?
The aim of the three day Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety training course is to make you aware of a supervisor’s responsibilities with regard to food safety. It ensures you are fully versed in food hygiene legislation and how to best communicate the required hygiene standards to your team.

How much does it cost?
Open courses cost between £400-£460 depending on the venue.
We can also hold courses at your premises which if you have 5 or more people to train (and a suitable room) you could save money.
