An independent food hygiene audit by a food hygiene auditor is not a legal requirement. However your business will be inspected by an EHO. Food suppliers may also be inspected by their customers or third party certification companies to achieve or maintain approvals such as SALSA or BRCGS.
A food safety audit alerts you to what you need to do to comply, and so avoid costly legal action being taken against you, or loss of reputation due to a poor food hygiene rating or loss of supplier certification.
We inspect your food premises, check records and speak to your managers and staff. In the case of SALSA or BRCGS, we audit your operation against the relevant standard.
A straightforward action plan is then produced which details what needs to be done. This is completed on our leading edge cloud based software so that you can easily check that actions have been completed properly and promptly.
Your food hygiene auditor will predict your food hygiene rating The fact that you are being independently audited will improve the ‘confidence in management’ section of your food hygiene rating score. Local councils do not give food hygiene ratings to food suppliers that do not provide food directly to the public. In these situations we predict whether POAO, SALSA or BRCGS approval would be achieved.
