Job Vacancy for Environmental Health Consultant
Safer Food Scores is currently recruiting for an environmental health consultant (food safety and health and safety) based at our head office in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire and travelling to client sites mainly in London and the South-East.
You will be supporting our clients to achieve the highest standards of food hygiene, allergen management and health and safety by providing expert advice and training.
This position would suit a qualified environmental health practitioner registered with EHORB and with experience working in a local authority environmental health department. Ideally, you will also have worked in the food industry as a consultant or in a food hygiene or health and safety role.
Safer Food Scores have a wide range of clients including food manufacturers, retailers, hospitals, trade associations, hotels and restaurants. Most have a complete compliance contract with us which includes tailored procedures, regular audits, training, local authority liaison, accident and alleged food poisoning investigations and unlimited telephone and e-mail assistance.
We have a co-ordinated primary authority partnership with Milton Keynes Council that our clients can opt into in order to ensure consistent enforcement in all their sites.
Our SFS Hub software allows us to conduct food hygiene, allergen and health and safety audits online. It has a range of modules that our clients use to make compliance easier including an iOS and Android app to complete all their due diligence and operational checks.
We offer our clients face to face bespoke and accredited training, a broad suite of e-leaning courses and have developed a ground -breaking Level 2 Food Safety game-based app (A Game to Train).
We use allergen software to carry out menu analysis for our clients which provides them and their customers with up-to-date online allergen information on all their menu items. This can be filtered by the team member or customer according to their dietary requirements.
We work in partnership with a label printer manufacturer and have developed a solution that our clients can use to ensure that they can easily comply with the latest allergen legislation covering pre-packed foods made on-site. We also supply shelf-life guides and simple to complete date labels.
Safer Food Scores have four ‘pure’ values that reflect all that we do:
Practicality – our solutions must make our clients lives easier not harder
Understanding – we know each client’s priorities and challenges
Responsive – we provide answers to queries quickly
Expert – our up-to-date knowledge prevents any unwelcome surprises
If you would like to work for a dynamic and exciting food hygiene and health and safety company, we would love to hear from you!
