Who’s it for?
The Level 1 Award in Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace is a half-day course aimed at all employees. It is intended for candidates already in workplaces and those who are preparing to start or return to work. It is also very useful for young people to raise their ability to identify and understand hazards when preparing for work experience and into employment. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification other than to be over 14 years old. Arrangements are in place for special needs.

How is it assessed?
There is a half hour 15 question multiple-choice test at the end of the course and you need 9 out of 15 to pass. Following the course you will be sent a Level 1 Award in Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace certificate.
What will I get out of it?
The aim of the one day Level 1 Award in Health and Safety is to ensure you know that health and safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, its contractors, visitors and suppliers.
