COVID-19 Lockdown Checklists for Food businesses
We have produced free customisable closing, during and re-opening lockdown checklists. These food hygiene and health and safety checks are suitable for pubs, restaurants and other food businesses. Please feel free to share them with your industry contacts.
New National restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19, mean that, in England, from Thursday 5th November to Wednesday 2nd December 2020:
- Hospitality venues like restaurants, bars and pubs must close, but can still provide takeaway and delivery services. However, takeaway of alcohol will not be allowed.
- Hotels, hostels and other accommodation should only open for those who have to travel for work purposes and for a limited number of other exemptions which will be set out in law.
As a result, some businesses will need to close temporarily. This is likely to be the second time this year for a lot of venues, but you may still find using our customisable closing, during and re-opening checklists useful to make sure that your premises are in the best state to re-open in time for the Christmas season.
During this time, you may wish to apply for COVID-SAFER UK accreditation. This is one of very few independently verified certifications and therefore is highly respected. It will demonstrate to your staff, customers and enforcers that you will be following best practice when you re-open.
