Coronavirus and Food Businesses – Re-opening Checks
With lockdown easing gradually in some parts of the UK, many food businesses are re-opening for take-away/delivery services and making plans for when restrictions on food service operations are lifted.
The health and safety of staff and customers is paramount and there will be risk assessments to review and expand taking into account operational changes. Whilst there is still no evidence that coronavirus can be transmitted by food, there are important food safety considerations to think about – such as changes to allergen information due to menu changes and assessing the fitness of food stocks.
We have developed Re-opening Checklists focussing on health and safety and food hygiene that you can customise to suit your operation to ensure that nothing is forgotten in the planning stages.
