Bells Food Group gains COVID accreditation
Congratulations to food manufacturing company, Bells Food Group whose Hawthorn Bakery recently achieved COVID-SAFER UK Approval, a highly respected COVID accreditation. Bells Food Group is Scotland’s leading manufacturer of pies, cakes, and pastry, delivering to every corner of the UK.
The COVID-SAFER UK Standard was developed by environmental health experts with more than 40 years’ experience in the field of infection control and legal compliance and is ‘primary authority assured’ by Milton Keynes Council.
It is one of very few COVID accreditations that is independently verified and provides reassurance to workers, customers and to health and safety inspectors that companies are following best practice in COVID control.
Safer Food Scores clients are provided with a free Safer Assured COVID-19 Management Pack with risk assessments, screening forms, standard operating procedures, and screening forms to help them achieve this highly respected accreditation. However, this is not a pre-requisite and Bells Food Group developed their own procedures and controls in-house under the supervision of their Health and Safety Officer, Chris Brannan.
Companies achieving COVID-SAFER UK approval receive an inspection certificate, window sticker and can apply the quality mark to their marketing materials.
Our health and safety consultants can advise exactly what is required and make sure that you have robust and practical controls in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
